2. Scope of this policy
This Policy covers www.survisiongroup.com and its English, French, German and Spanish versions, together with personal data submitted through or in connection with Website contact channels, newsletter subscription, meeting scheduling, careers pages and the linked support portal where SURVISION determines the purposes and means of processing.
It does not describe personal data processed by a customer using SURVISION cameras or services. In that situation, the customer normally determines why and how the data is processed and SURVISION may act as its processor under a separate agreement. The customer’s privacy notice applies. This Policy also does not govern independent third-party websites or services reached through a link.
Policy updates. SURVISION may update this Policy when law, Website features or processing changes. The current version and last-updated date remain available through the Website footer.
3. How we obtain personal data
- Directly from you, for example when you email us, subscribe, schedule a meeting, apply for a role, open a support ticket or otherwise communicate with us.
- Automatically from your browser or device when the Website delivers pages, records security events or, subject to your choices, uses analytics or embedded content.
- From SURVISION affiliates, professional contacts, event organisers or business partners when they lawfully refer an inquiry or professional contact to us.
- From service providers used for meeting scheduling or support when you choose to use those services.
4. What we process, why and our legal bases
The table describes the Website-related processing carried out by SURVISION. Consent is requested only where consent is the legal basis. Simply browsing the Website does not constitute consent to this Policy.

5. Newsletter and direct marketing
The newsletter is sent on the basis of consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link or contacting dpo@survision.fr. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
6. Cookies, tags and third-party features
The Website uses Google Tag Manager to manage tags and Google Analytics 4 to measure audience and understand how visitors use the Website. Subject to the visitor’s applicable choices, Google Analytics 4 may process online identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location, pages viewed and interaction data. SURVISION uses these data to produce audience statistics and improve the Website.
The Website also embeds or links to YouTube content and may link to Microsoft’s meeting-scheduling service and a Zoho-powered support portal. It links to third-party social-media pages, including LinkedIn and YouTube. A simple external link does not transmit Website data to that third party until the visitor follows the link, unless a separate tag or embedded module is installed.
Strictly necessary technologies may operate without consent where permitted by law. Google Analytics 4 and other non-essential analytics, advertising or embedded-content technologies are activated only after consent where prior consent is required. The separate Cookie Policy and cookie settings tool identify the technologies actually in use, their providers, purposes, lifetimes and available controls. You can withdraw or change cookie consent at any time through the cookie settings tool.
7. Who receives personal data
- Access is limited according to role and need. Depending on the feature used, recipients may include:
- authorised SURVISION staff in sales, marketing, recruitment, support, legal/compliance, information technology and management;
- SURVISION LLC and other SURVISION personnel involved in the relevant geographic or business request;
- hosting, maintenance, cybersecurity, communications, newsletter, meeting-scheduling, recruitment and support providers acting under appropriate terms;
- Odoo.sh for Website hosting; Google for Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and YouTube; Microsoft for meeting scheduling; and Zoho for the support portal, according to the feature used and your applicable choices;
- professional advisers, auditors, insurers, courts, regulators, law-enforcement or public authorities where disclosure is lawfully required; and
- a purchaser or successor in a genuine corporate transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality and data-protection requirements.
Third parties operating their own websites or deciding their own purposes may act as independent controllers. Their own privacy notices apply to their independent processing.
8. Internationl transfers
SURVISION is established in France. Website-related personal data may be made accessible outside the European Economic Area, including to SURVISION LLC in the United States or to service providers used for a requested feature. A transfer may also occur when support or business teams in another country access the data.
SURVISION does not make a restricted transfer unless a lawful transfer mechanism applies. Depending on the recipient and country, this may be an applicable adequacy decision, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses together with required assessments and supplementary measures, or another mechanism permitted by applicable data-protection law. Reliance on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework is limited to recipients currently certified for the relevant data. Information about the mechanism used for a particular transfer may be requested from the DPO, subject to lawful redactions.
9. How long we keep personal data
SURVISION keeps personal data only for the period needed for the stated purpose, then deletes or anonymises it unless a legal obligation or a documented legal claim requires a longer period. The following rules apply to Website-related records:
Record
|
Retention rule
|
|
Inquiry / prospect record |
Up to three years after collection or the last substantive contact from the prospect, unless a contract or legal claim requires longer retention. |
Newsletter | Until consent is withdrawn or the person unsubscribes; inactive prospect data is removed according to the three-year prospect rule. Minimal suppression and consent evidence may be retained for compliance. |
Recruitment | For the recruitment process. If the candidate expressly agrees to future-opportunity retention, up to two years after the last contact; longer only where required by law or for a legal claim. |
Customer / support relationship |
For the contract and support relationship, then for applicable accounting, warranty and limitation periods. Ticket content that is no longer needed must be deleted or anonymised earlier where feasible.
|
Server and security logs | For the shortest period reasonably necessary for diagnosis, service integrity and security, with restricted access and periodic deletion; longer only for a documented incident, legal obligation or claim. |
Cookie and similar identifiers | For the periods stated in the Cookie Policy and cookie settings tool; consent records are kept only as long as necessary to demonstrate compliance. |
Rights requests / disputes | For the time needed to answer the request, then for the applicable legal limitation period. Identity documents, if exceptionally required, are deleted as soon as verification is complete unless law requires otherwise. |
10. Security
SURVISION applies technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. Depending on risk, these measures include access controls and least-privilege rules, confidentiality commitments, staff training, logging, encryption, secured workstations and systems, backup arrangements, incident-management procedures and supplier controls. No Internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed absolutely secure.
11. Your rights under the GDPR
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability, and may object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing at any time. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects, where that right applies. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés - CNIL) or, where applicable, another competent supervisory authority.
SURVISION does not use the Website-related personal data described in this Policy to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
Send requests to dpo@survision.fr or to the DPO postal address in Section 1. SURVISION may ask for information strictly necessary to confirm identity and authority. It responds within the period required by applicable law and explains any lawful refusal or extension.
12. Additional information for United States residents
Depending on applicable state law, United States residents may have rights to know or access personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain a portable copy and opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, sharing or profiling. Requests may be sent to dpo@survision.fr. SURVISION may verify a request and an authorised agent’s authority. Where applicable state law provides a right to appeal a decision, you may appeal by replying to the decision and stating that you wish to appeal.
California notice
During the preceding 12 months, the Website may have collected the categories described in Section 4: identifiers and contact details; Internet or other electronic-network activity; professional or employment-related information; correspondence; and support information. These categories come from the sources in Section 3, are used for the purposes in Section 4 and may be disclosed for business purposes to the recipients in Section 7.
SURVISION does not sell personal information. To the extent that activating a third-party analytics or embedded-media service is considered ‘sharing’ under California law, SURVISION treats it as sharing and provides the applicable opt-out through the cookie settings tool and legally recognised opt-out preference signals. SURVISION does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to SURVISION and the relevant personal information, a California resident may request to know or access, correct or delete personal information; receive information about categories collected, used, disclosed, sold or shared; opt out of sale or sharing; and limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable. These rights may be exercised without unlawful discrimination. SURVISION does not offer a financial incentive in exchange for Website personal information.
Global Privacy Control. Where California law requires it, SURVISION treats a valid Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for the browser or device from which the signal is sent.
Do Not Track. Because there is no uniform industry standard for browser Do Not Track signals, the Website does not currently respond to those signals. You may use the cookie settings tool and, where applicable, Global Privacy Control to communicate your choices.
13. Children
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
survisiongroup.com does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
14. Consent
By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its Terms and Conditions.
